Show Features to Know
Feb 10, 2017, 14:39 PM
The KC Remodel + Garden Show is packed full of exciting, unique features you’ll want to visit while at the American Royal Center. Check out our Feature Page for the entire list, but here are a few you should have on your radar.
Container Homes
Tiny living is all the rage! And one of the most ecological ways to live tiny is in a container home. Approximately 30 million steel shipping containers are in existence, filled and floating, or standing about empty in a port. Eight feet wide by 8.5 feet high, and either 20 or 40 feet long, the steel shipping container has been the globally standardized transportation module since 1956 but today some of the most creative architects are transforming them into everything from backyard offices to cabins in the woods.
Veterans Community Project’s Tiny Home
Tour the Veterans Community Projects Tiny Home and learn how you can help aid our veterans. Each home that the Veterans Community Project constructs is to be used as transitional housing for homeless Veterans and one of the homes will be on display at the KC Remodel + Garden Show.
Make-It, Take-It by the Diva of DIY
If you’ve ever watched KC Live on 41 Action News, you’ve probably seen the unique, fun creations of local DIY blogger Leanne Lee (aka Diva of DIY). She’ll be leading hands-on workshops with other DIY experts to provide project tips, ideas and inspiration for you to make your own DIY work-of-art that you can take home from the show!
Beer Garden
If you’re feeling parched after seeing the incredible features, vendors and presentations at the KC Remodel + Garden Show, Martin City Brewery will be providing a selection of their locally made, craft beer at our beer garden.
Vintage Marketplace
Flea market chic anyone? Take the home decor of yesteryear and upcycle it into one-of-a-kind conversation pieces for the home. Find furniture, vintage items, decorative knick-knacks, and more at the Vintage Marketplace.
