Sometimes it’s difficult to know where to start on home renovation and landscaping projects, especially if your list has grown over the years. Before you connect with experts at the KC Remodel + Garden Show, here are three ideas to ensure you make progress this year:

• Paint one room or accent wall – If your walls haven’t been painted in the last couple of years, they could probably use an update. Choose a manageably sized room or identify an accent wall to transform. The entire process should only take a couple of days and you’ll enjoy the new color for months (and years) to come! 
• Plant a garden – Growing your own produce and herbs is a wonderful way to spend time outdoors and reap the benefits of a diet supplemented with plenty of vegetables. Don’t be intimidated by the vision of rows and rows of plants; a garden can be as simple as a cluster of pots with herbs like oregano, basil and chives! 
• Get a bid – You probably have that one major project you’ve been daydreaming about for a while, whether it’s gutting a kitchen and bathroom, or installing a sprinkler system. Until you start doing the necessary research and talking to companies, it’ll always stay a dream. By bidding out the work now, you can have a plan going forward…even if it means potentially waiting until next year.
